Continuing Worship during COVID-19

  • Communities of faith across the country are live-streaming Sunday worship services or sharing prerecorded online worship service during the COVID-19 pandemic. See our interactive worship map to find one in your local area or join one in another part of Canada.
  • Broadview Magazine (formerly The United Church Observer) also offers a list of United Church communities of faith with online worship services.

A Message from Your Church Family

We say "We'll get through this" and yet grieve that so many will not.
We say "We're in this together" and yet know the huge chasms in our experience.
We say "We'll build back better" and yet feel the tug into familiar grooves of inequity and excess.
Creator. Be with us.
Console us in our losses.
Shelter us in our hopes and intentions.
Embolden us in our dreams and gestures.
Come alongside us as we yearn, confirm and act towards your holy and beautiful intention of right relations for peoples and our aching wounded earth. Amen
— Jennifer Henry, KAIROS

Welcome to Our Worship Leaders

Picture
We are so fortunate to have strong, caring people to lead us in worship while we embark on the task of finding a new minister. Here are our worship leaders:

COVID-19 and St. Paul's International Pastoral Charge

  • Effective immediately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Paul’s International Pastoral Charge is SUSPENDING ALL GROUP SERVICES INDEFINITELY. (Group services included: Sunday Worship Services, Youth Group, Mom’s Group, and all Rental Groups)
  • The UCC has prepared an Emergency Plan to help communities of faith plan ahead for contingencies that may or may not arise, realizing that planning ahead is a way to reduce anxiety.
  • If any of our congregation members are unable to get out of your home and are in need of some groceries, please contact the church office  at 306-634-2885 and we will help you out.
  • The Church will be closed and doors locked. If you require any further information or assistance, the Church Office will be open for phone calls ONLY at 306-634-2885.
  • We want you to feel safe and we as a Church will continue to monitor things as information develops.

Update - COVID-19 and Church Re-Opening

Picture
Leadership Team August 18, 2020
The Leadership Team met and considered the re-opening of St. Paul's for in-person worship and for tenancy in our building. Considering all information available, the following decisions were made:
  • St. Paul's will remain closed to worship services until October. This decision will be reviewed in September.
  • St. Paul's will consider use of our facilities for outside groups if the staff are comfortable with such use and the tenant follows the guidelines of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and the set of re-opening guidelines established by St. Paul's as found in Appendix A of the minutes of the June 23, 2020 Leadership Team meeting.

Food Bank Sunday

The first Sunday of every month, we collect donations for the Food Bank. Currently the food bank is very low with more families and first time users accessing it due to the down turn in the local economy. Please consider donating to the Food Bank with either groceries or financial donations in between our designated weeks.

We have covenanted to be a green church!

Stewardship

Picture

Many of our members contribute to the life and the work of St. Paul's by having a monthly amount automatically withdrawn from their bank account. This program is called PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance).
During this difficult time, when Sunday Worship is not being held and the church is closed, members not enrolled in PAR, may continue with their givings by mail or by simply using online giving offered by the
DONATE button above and following the instructions.
For those members who deal at Affinity Credit Union, St. Paul's is set up as a payee and you can offer your givings directly online.
